Second National Flag Of The Confederacy

Commonly Known As The "Stainless Banner," The Second National Flag Was Created By An Act Of The First Confederate Congress And Approved By The President On 01 May 1863. One Of The First Issues Of This Flag Covered The Casket Of Lt. Gen. Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (21 January 1824-10 May 1863) As The Nation Mourned His Loss In Richmond, 12 May 1863.
